כיצד לענות: לקרוא פיסקה ראשונה ואחרונה בסעיף האחרון של המאמר. בנוסף לסמן משפט ראשון ו/או אחרון בכל פיסקה שבסוף המאמר ולסכם את הנקודה העיקרית של הפסקה בעברית. לשים לב שלא בכל פיסקה יופיע רעיון חדש. אין לכלול כאן דוגמאות אלא את הנקודות המרכזיות בלבד. לרשום את התשובה בקצרה בעברית ולמספר את הנקודות שמצאתם. (8 points)

5) The Body of the Article

כל שאלה כוללת שני חלקים. 1. לסמן האם המשפט הנתון נכון או לא על פי הטקסט. 2. לצטט משפט מתאים מהטקסט המוכיח את תשובתכם.
כיצד לענות: לתרגם את המשפט הנתון. לסמן מילות מפתח באנגלית. לחפש מילות מפתח זהות או בעלות אותה משמעות בטקסט.
.8 שאלת תרגום . תשובה בעברית. יש לבחור את אחת הפסקאות הנתונות.
השאלה כוללת שני סעיפים. 1. לתרגם את הפסקה באופן מילולי – לשים לב לזמנים וביטויים. 2. לציין כיצד היא מתקשרת לנושא המאמר.

9. שאלת טבלה. תשובה באנגלית. ניתן להיעזר בתשובתכם לשאלה 5 על מנת לאתר את הסעיף המתאים להשלמת הטבלה. חשוב להבין היטב את ההוראות של שאלה זו, ואת החלקים הנתונים בטבלה. מילות מפתח מתוך חלקים אלו יובילו אל המשפטים הנחוצים מתוך הטקסט.
טיפ: רצוי לעיין בטבלה ולתרגם את החלקים הנתונים כבר בהתחלה. בצורה זו ניתן לאתר ולמלא את הפרטים הדרושים תוך כדי קריאה.

10. שאלת רב ברירה. יש לקרוא את הוראות השאלה. לסמן את התשובה או התשובות הנכונות.

Questionnaire – some general guidelines
A suggestion of organizing your reading:
The most important parts of the article that should be well understood:
· Title and the subtitle.
· Introduction: First and last paragraph of the introduction + the first and/or last sentences of each of the paragraphs included in the introduction.
· End of the article: First and last paragraphs of the end of the article (last subtitle) + the first and/or last lines of each of the paragraphs included in the last part of the article.
· The Body of the article:
· Mark the intra-textual subtitles and translate them.
· The first and last paragraphs of each section are the most important.
· Mark the first and/or last line of each paragraph. If you get the idea from the first sentence you don’t need to go any further. Sometimes a connector of contrast appears in the second sentence (Yet, Nevertheless…) In this case you should read this second sentence. It may include the main idea of the paragraph. When the first sentence of the paragraph doesn’t provide any significant information you should check the last sentence of the paragraph. After you finish skimming each section of the article stop and think: what is the main idea in this particular section? How does it relate to the topic of the article?
Additional keys to understanding to be marked as you read:
a. Specific punctuation (? / :/ “/ --/)
b. Numbers (Dates, years - 1980, %..)
c. Names (Capital letters in the middle of sentences – names of places, people, organizations, acronyms)
d. Connectors (but, moreover, for instance…)
e. Words, phrases or sentences that are emphasized: bold; italics or underlined phrases.
